Information and FAQ's for Attending Photographers Thank you for joining us for the upcoming photo shoot. We are working hard to ensure that everything goes smoothly for you when you attend. You should have received the directions and information regarding the photoshoot when you signed up. If you have questions please email us here Here are some FAQ's and answers that might be helpful for you. What will the photographer to model ratio be? In most photo shoots we will provide to you a weekly running model/photographer ratio based on prepays. Basically we start with a 2:1 ratio. How does the scheduling work? Many photoshoots have a 1 model - 20 photographer ratio, we don't agree with that policy as we dont believe it allows the best photos to be taken so, our teams will be smaller and allow more time with the model if its needed. To ensure that as many models and photographers get to work together as possible, we will have 4 - one hour scheduled shooting groups where a bunch of photographers and models can go off and shoot someplace on the property. Will refreshments be served? All Nationwide Glamour Shoot Events will include a full meals, snacks and beverages for NO additional charge. Will the models be expecting prints or digital scans? We suggest you provide to model digital scans; it should be in 8x10 format @180dpi for best use. Most models prefer to have at least 4 images of your best work. What can I use the photos for? Under limited release; for self-promotion uses only. What are the requirements for obtaining a full release? If you plan to use/sell the images on a pay site or in a book, you will need bring your own model release and negotiate with the model directly for full release. Models may ask as little as $25 to as much as $100 additional. Can I contact the model before the shoot? Sure you can, please visit the portfolio page and click on your favorite model, it will take you to the model's portfolio or website. One of the models doesn't have a link to an online portfolio/website, how do I contact her? Email us for her contact information, in most cases they are new to modeling and don't have anything to start with. There seems to be more models than photographers, why is it that way? We tend to overbook as many models for these shoots. Do you have an issue with beginners or amateurs? Nope, we encourage photographers of all levels to attend the event. We all had to begin at some point. There are many photographers you will find to be great buddies with that share the same interests as you. Many will be interested in providing instruction to help you get underway. Do you offer workshops or instruction? Some shoots we will offer instruction on how to do something, check our site for announcements of upcoming events. Are there some "advanced-level" or explicit photo shoots? At this time we do not have any "advanced-level" photo shoots. Please check from time to time to see if there's anything that might pique your interest. Who are the models attending?
Models are sought out for each event, we usually pre announce who will be at the upcoming event. Always watch the website as we are updating it all the time. Though it is not mandatory.Models in general, do not get paid to attend these events Will the some models be staying after the shoot for possible additional paying jobs? Some models will hang around to land a short paid shoot or two after the shoot. If you have an interest in a model, ask her to hang around after the shoot for some private work. If you make arrangements to work with a model prior to the shoot, please arrange the shoot time after the main event. It is disruptive to shoot a model during the main event as you make everyone else wait until you're finished. Are the models guaranteed to be there? Yes, we have changed our policy for any model interested must meet with us in the weeks prior to a event to determine reliability; or by referral by another photographer. If you refer a model for our shoot and she comes to the event, your fee is half of what is posted. Please email us for details. Will I need to bring my own lighting equipment? Yes and No. Most of the shooting is planned for either indoors or outdoors, so you might want to bring your favorite softbox or whatever.
